An Independent Voice for California’s Next Chapter

Why Jon Is Running

Jon is running for Governor to prove that government can work again. Not louder. Not meaner. Just better.

He believes California can:

  • End homelessness and reduce wildfire risk at the same time

  • Restore dignity to work and rebuild trust in public systems

  • Build housing, infrastructure, and resilience at speed

  • Lead the world in innovation without losing our humanity

Most of all, he believes Californians deserve leadership that answers only to the people, not to donors, parties, or personal financial interests.

Independence Is Not a Brand. It Is a Prerequisite.

Jon spent more than two decades building a career in financial services, eventually leaving a bank-owned firm to launch his own independent advisory practice in the Bay Area.

That decision changed everything.

Independence meant no corporate masters, no political handlers, and no pressure to stay quiet. It meant the freedom to speak plainly, challenge broken systems, and propose solutions without asking permission.

That same independence is what Jon believes California needs in its next Governor.

A Fiduciary Ethic for Government

In his professional life, Jon operates under a fiduciary standard. That means a simple, enforceable obligation to put his clients’ interests ahead of his own, every time.

Jon believes government should be held to the same standard.

As Governor, Jon would place his personal assets into a blind trust. Not as a gesture, but as a principle. Leaders who make decisions affecting millions of lives should not be in a position to benefit personally from those decisions.

Jon will work to require blind trusts and stronger conflict-of-interest rules for California lawmakers at all levels of government. His goal is to remove financial self-interest from policymaking and restore trust through clear, enforceable standards.

California can lead here. And if we do it right, the rest of the nation can follow.

Government should act like a fiduciary steward. Objective. Accountable. Focused on outcomes. Free from hidden incentives.

The Golden Rule for the Golden State

Jon believes California has lost something more important than political balance. It has lost respect.

He believes in a simple principle: the Golden Rule for the Golden State. Treat your neighbors the way you want to be treated, even when you disagree.

California is too diverse, too dynamic, and too interconnected to survive on contempt. We do not need to think alike, but we do need to respect one another and learn how to disagree better.

Jon believes that when we put our differences aside and focus on building something together, something powerful happens. Shared goals lead to shared effort. Shared effort leads to real accomplishments. And those accomplishments foster respect.

That is how we begin to replace contempt with trust. Not through shouting or shaming, but through shared goals and visible progress.

A Life Built on Balance

Jon’s worldview was shaped early at home. His father, a Marine and longtime police officer, instilled discipline, responsibility, and integrity. His mother, an artist and licensed marriage and family therapist, taught empathy, emotional intelligence, and respect for complexity.

That balance defines Jon’s leadership style. Firm where necessary. Compassionate where it matters. Always focused on outcomes, not optics.

As a husband, father, business owner, and pilot, Jon understands responsibility from every angle. He believes leadership means doing the right thing, even when no one is watching.

Politically Independent. Pragmatically Focused.

Jon does not fit neatly into red or blue boxes, and he is not trying to.

Like millions of Californians, he feels politically homeless in a system that rewards extremes and punishes problem-solvers. His campaign is built for the middle majority who want results, safety, opportunity, and a future their kids can afford to live in.

That is what California 2.0 represents. A state rooted in balance, abundance, and respect.
